Current work
[edit]I have very occasionally contributed original photographs, but I mostly handle bureacratic tasks on Commons. Many files need additional source information, license correction, more accurate descriptions, and better categorization. As a license reviewer, my primary mission right now is reviewing files in Category:License review needed in order of upload, and helping with the enormous backlog there. I believe that all uploads should be strictly compliant with our licensing rules and both local and U.S. law. However, I also believe in reaching out to uploaders and making every effort to correct any ambiguities before jumping to deletion, except in obvious cases. I consider myself a servant of the Commons in this way, trying to advance our goal rather than just trying to get as many deletions as possible. I also recognize that many uploaders come just to upload a small number of files, but their contributions can be very valuable, so I take the responsibility seriously of trying my best to help them get into compliance through friendly service and simple explanations.

[edit]We have a huge backlog of unreviewed files from external sources. If you have a file you feel needs review soon, please leave me a request on my talk page. Although I am not always on here, I will handle requests as quickly as I can. I promise your request will be handled with care and effort to research any additional information to see if it can be brought into compliance.
